We are so excited to finally share the cover of our second children’s picture book Building Beaver Dam!
This autumn we return to Buzz Meadows Family Farm – the very same location Mr. Bumble took us on an adventure through in our first book. This time around there is some trouble ahead as heavy rain puts Buzz Meadows Farm at risk and there is only one beaver who has a plan! We get to join Bertie the Beaver and his friends as they work together to build a dam strong enough to stop the flood and save the day. Filled with the spirit of teamwork Building Beaver Dam is a heartwarming tale of friendship and the magic of nature — perfect for little readers who love animals and big adventures.
This story was inspired by our time living in Toronto, Canada, where we often spotted busy beavers hard at work along the water’s edge. Watching these amazing creatures build, create and care for the environment sparked the idea for Bertie’s big adventure. With cozy autumn and winter nights approaching, Building Beaver Dam will be sure to make a delightful addition to your child’s seasonal reading collection. Whether it’s bedtime snuggles or story time in the classroom, this book invites readers to explore the beauty of nature, the importance of working together and the joy of helping others.
