Goal Setting For 2024

When another year draws to a close and the Christmas decorations are packed away for another year I like to take some time by myself to reflect on the previous 365 days. I was reluctant to share this post on my blog, which is essentially a website labelled “children’s author” as this topic could not be further from child care or kid’s related activities but I have seen so much related content on my social media feeds. I figured if I am sitting here, reflecting on the previous year and planning for the year ahead, feeling a mixture of excited yet exhausted, motivated yet reluctant and uncertain but assertive then other people must also feel this way. It can bring me comfort to know others feel this way and I hope it can bring you a little reassurance too. I have so much to be thankful for 2023 and I believe it was a year that allowed me to create the foundation or building blocks for what is to come this year. Looking into the year ahead and even beyond that I am excited at the possibilities that lie ahead and where the journey might take me. Change can be scary but should be embraced fully. Life starts at the edge of your comfort zone. So if you are anything like me you might feel inspired when you are able to visually see lists of goals you have set for the year ahead, habits you either need to create and stick to or break free from and begin anew. Below I have shared a small piece of my goals and intentions for the upcoming year in hope that this will inspire someone reading who might need an extra dose of motivation or encouragement. What have you got to lose? – and remember I am rooting for you!

CREATING YOUR VISION BOARD

While I do wish to keep many of the goals and milestones I have set for the year ahead (both personal and professional) as private as possible I understand it is almost impossible to explain a vision board / mood board / manifestation board without sharing an example. This is a small fraction of my vision board for the year ahead and without going into too much detail each image you can see has a specific goal or emotion for me to work and aim towards. When it comes to choosing images for your own vision board you should ensure each and every image gives you a particular feeling when you see it that you can use and act accordingly on. Essentially all images need to be something you are wanting to manifest into your life.

Examples:

a career goal

a huge plan for your future

an inspirational quote or motto to live by

a destination you hope to visit

a health or fitness goal

a purchase you hope to make

something you have always been too scared to do

a clothing style you hope to emulate

passion projects you want to make time for

MANIFEST YOUR LIFE
